How to reinstall the Surfshark application on macOS

This guide will show you how to reinstall Surfshark from your macOS device.

 

Firstly, there are two ways to uninstall the app depending on the way you installed it - using the App Store or using our standalone .DMG installation file.

 

We will show you how to uninstall Surfshark depending on your installation method:

  1. App Store installation
  2. DMG installation

 

App Store installation

 

  1. Open the Launchpad to see all of your installed applications.

  2. Find the Surfshark application and drag its icon to the Trash bin.

  3. A small pop-up will appear, like in the screenshot below. Click Delete. Surfshark will disappear from your device.

  4. Install the Surfshark application once more from the Surfshark App Store download page or download the Surfshark app .DMG file.

 

DMG installation

 

  1. Open Finder on your macOS.

  2. On the Finder window, go to Applications.

  3. Find the Surfshark application and drag its icon to the Trash bin.

  4. Close the Finder and then right-click on the Trash bin and select Empty Trash.

  5. Install the Surfshark application once more from the Surfshark App Store download page or download the Surfshark app .DMG file.
